1966 Ford Mustang
See www.forristalls.com for more. The K code engine option made the Mustang a true Muscle Car. Historically it made these early Mustangs the First Mustang Muscle Cars. There were a number of notable items associated with these K code cars. Now let me tell you about codes on the original door tag. Everything matches but you can check this out for yourself. Body 63B = Luxury Fastback, Color 4 = Silver Frost, Trim 66 = Black Luxury, Build date 23C = March 23, DSO 65 – Oklahoma City, Axle E = 350 L/S, Trans 6 = Auto. I will not give out the serial number right now because I have had many of my cars end up on Ebay in fraudulent auctions. The special K codes items on this car are listed on our website www.forristalls.com. The options are numerous and overwhelming! Note the nice and proper 8000 RPM Rally Pac, beautiful deluxe steering wheel, rare long console. How RARE is this Mustang? It could be the ONLY ONE made like it. THINK about it. There were 607, 568 Mustangs made in 1966 and only 5469 were “K” codes of all three models; Coupe, Fastback and Convertible. It is a Fastback GT with Black Pony Interior. Just with these factors alone you know it is a rare but these next two factors are what make it a possible one of a kind. According to Jim Smarts’ Production Guide Book, only 3.4% of total 66 production was Silver Frost. No one is really sure how many of these rare “K” code automatics, but what they are sure of is that they are extremely RARE -a “K” Silver Frost GT with the Hi-Performance C-4 Automatic. As a result of this Mustang being such a significant car a $62,553 professional restoration was performed on it. Last, but not least, it won the highest point total ever scored at a National Houston Show in the 1966 Concours Driven Class. The proud new owner will receive the scoring sheets from the National Show along with the Trophy awarded at the show. Please call me with any questions you have.
