1978 Pontiac Trans Am
Interior is in great shape with no rips or tears in the seats, headliner or carpet. All the gauges function correctly, including the speedometer and tach. The carpeting, front floor mats and sills plates are new, as is the leather logo between the rear seats. The car will come with an extra silver engine-turned dash plate that I bought as a spare for future replacement as the originals are getting harder to find. The original factory radio is unavailable, but installed in the dash in an AM/FM/CD with both front and rear speakers installed and working. The glass is in great shape as well, and appears to be the original soft-tint glass from the factory. The sport mirrors have some small scratches in the glass, but they are not that noticeable. Exterior is what sets this car off from most others. It was a Solar Gold model from the factory, but was repainted in 2002 in a very striking Burnished Gold Metalflake, paint code 56. The car shimmers and shines in the sunlight like no other gold car I have ever seen. I have had more compliments on the paint than I can remember. There are a few chips here and there, but nothing that can\'t be touched-up. The hood on the passenger side has some issues with the paint, and I have yet to find anyone that can tell me exactly what the problem is and how it can be corrected. I would take a picture of this area, but it only shows up under certain viewing and lighting, and I haven\'t been able to get a shot that shows up well. I am trying to be as honest as I can, as I don\'t want anyone to be disappointed. There is one small, dime size bubble just above the driver\'s side door that has been there since I purchased the car in December but hasn\'t changed size. Engine and transmission were rebuilt to factory specs out in California by a previous owner. I have all of the receipts and invoices detailing exactly what was done. The rebuilt 6.6 liter 403 CID engine and TH350 automatic 3-speed transmission have an estimated 6000 miles on them. The car starts right up, the engine idles well and the car runs and shifts very smooth. If I had to make an educated guess, I would say the car has around 118,000 total miles on it, but that is a pure guess. The exhaust system is two years old with stock style catalytic converter and muffler. The A/C blows pretty cold air, not artic cold, but cold enough to keep you cool when needed. The tires have an estimated 65% tread life left on them. The belts, hoses and brakes were all replaced during 2004, and are in great shape. This car is ready to drive immediately and requires no immediate attention, except the attention you will get proudly showing it off to your buddies and fellow muscle car enthusiasts. Has been garage kept and driven on weekends only. That\'s not to say you can\'t drive it as often as you like, but at 10-11 mpg around down, she can burn a lot of gas in a very short time. In addition to the 15x7 Gold Snowflake rims that are currently on the car, I am also including the original 15x8 Argent Snowflake rims that I had taken off to get refurbished, but just never got too. You can see pictures of the original rims on my website so you can see that they are the 8\" rims that come standard with the WS6 performance package. I will also include some extra matching pin stripping materials left over from the additional \"spare\" set I have, as well as some other spare parts I have picked up along the way for future replacement or use. I have the all the PHS documentation in a three ring binder along with all the receipts that were given to me by the previous owner. This vehicle is being sold \"as is\". No representations or warranties are made by the seller. There are no manufacturer\'s warranties that still apply. There are no extended warranties that apply. This car is being sold as is, not covered by any type of warranty. More photos available upon request.
