Updates
Hello all. Let me first apologize again for not writing to you in the last couple of weeks. I have a good excuse though, THE MARKET! Many of you know I work in the financial industry and boy has it been busy. I have been working from 6:00am to 8:00pm for the past two weeks. Not to mention that I have been working with my IT guys to get the next phase completed. We are 90% there, so here it goes. Hopefully you have noticed some changes. Now, there are many options for you when you log in. You will notice “My Profile” where you can update your address, email, phone number or change your password. Then are “My Journals” and “New Journals” where you can track your project or just show off your ride. “My Parts” and “My Cars” are where you list your cars/parts for FREE, and by the look of it you all certainly are taking advantage of that. Other additions are “My Questions” and “My Answers” where if you asked a question to the community, you can quickly find your answers. And if you answered community member’s questions, you will be able to see your answers. “My Events” and “My Clubs” are new so that if you need to change information on your event or your club, you can do that easily. And finally is one of my favorites “My Expertise”. Here is where you would select the top three car makers that you know the most about. Then when a fellow member has a question and you have indicated that you are an expert about that make, you will receive an email asking for your assistance.
With all these upgrades, I need to ask all of you to logon and update your account. If you have an event or club that should be under your account, let me know and I will add it to your account. Also, please update your Expertise and let me know if you have any questions.
I am very excited about these upgrades to the site and would like to hear back from you, please shoot me an email if you think I am missing anything at joseph@classiccarcommunity.com.
Another update that is not completed yet is “My Services”. Under this link, you will be able to upload your banner ads if you wish to advertise on my site. You will have the choice of 4 packages; the 12 Cylinder Package is your maximum exposure package, the 8 Cylinder Package is your direct link to specific buyers or your product, the 6 Cylinder Package targets your State and/or City, with the 4 Cylinder Package you will be listed as a service provider in your city. Each package will have different levels of exposure catered to your budget. More to come on this great feature.
Another update close to completion is the “My Feedback” link. If you have used a participating parts/service dealer and would like to provide feedback to the rest of the community, this is where you can do such a thing. You will be able to comment on the value you received, the great work you witnessed and overall satisfaction with the service.
Again, I would like to hear from you, please shoot me a note at joseph@classiccarcommunity.com.
