Car Club Members
Holy smacks there are a lot of car clubs out there! The Car Club directory has been launched and I have been feverishly uploading all the clubs that I am aware of. I am through about 30ish states and continuing on with the others. So, if you are receiving this newsletter for the first time, welcome to Classic Car Community! Please read my Mission Statement and Who I am to determine if this site will help you and your efforts with your club. Updates
I just worked it out with my IT guys to begin the 3rd Phase of my site. All the updates and corrections should be done by the end of September and then the real fun begins. What that means, I have no idea! The first update to the site will be a more robust Account Profile. Your profile will include a "My Expertise" tab where you will be able to select what cars you are very knowledgeable about and then receive emails from other members that may have questions about them. No, your email won’t be given out, rather an email from the site will be sent letting you know that a question has been asked in the Q&A page that you may know the answer to. Also, we will be adding a “My Events” page, “My Answers” page, “My Clubs” page, “My Contests” page and “My Services” page. All these tabs will track your events posted, answers you have given out, clubs you listed and contests you entered. The “My Services” link will be dedicated to the parts & services companies that elect to advertise on my site. You will be able to upload your banner, create keywords, and link to your site. In addition, there will be a “My Feedback” link to rate the service that you received based on Price and Quality. This valuable information will help other members of the community to decide whether they would like to use that service and set their expectations accordingly. For example, if a body shop in Tucson, Arizona has a high quality rating with an average price rating then you know that their phone will be ringing off the hook!
“But Joseph, what do I get if I want to advertise?” I thought you’d never ask. You will be in direct contact with members that are looking for your specific product (Direct Marketing!). If you sell Mustang Parts and a member types in “mustang” in the keyword (or selects it from the dropdown), then your banner will be shown. So, your banner will be shown only to those looking for your parts or service! Please send me a note or give me call if you are interested in advertising, just click here.

Calendar Girl
The Board of Directors (my wife and I) of Classic Car Community meet last week to discuss the future of this contest. I have to tell you, it’s not looking good. I only have 20 submissions and the end of the summer is quickly approaching (September 21st, that was the deadline for the contest if you remember). So, if we do not receive an adequate amount of submissions in the next few weeks, then we will cancel the contest. ;-(
So, if you were planning on joining the contest, then now is the time!
