Updates
I know all of you are waiting to see if I was able to get the Gerbil off the ground, but I am going to have to table the conclusion to that story until the next newsletter. However, I do have some GREAT updates to the site that I am sure you will love. Also, I need to apologize for the quirks that my last two newsletters had. I migrated to a newer version of the mailing software and do not know if it was me, an ID10T error, or the software itself. So, let's try this again. The first update is the creation of the Premium Ad. For only $5 per month, members can post their parts and cars for sale and have them shown on the FIRST page of Google. I know all of you are saying "Get the eff out of here!?" No it's true. Not only do you get that, You can upload 20 more pictures for your ad. Here's how it works: 1) Log in or create an account. 2) Click "My Cars" or "My Parts" in the action box, then click the "Add New Car" or "Add New Part" link. 3) Fill out the Free Advertisement form toward the top (always free) and then continue to fill out the Premium Advertisement section toward the bottom. 4) In that section you have to provide me with 4 phrases (of three words or more) that describe you car or part. For example, if I was selling a hood for a 1967 Ford Mustang, I might enter phrases like "1967 mustang hood" or "1968 mustang hood" or "ford mustang hood" and "67 mustang hood." Once these phrases are provided to me, I will enter them with Google and your ad will populate anytime a prospective buyer uses those key phrases to search for your item. An example is provided here. Payment is through PayPal so you know that your information is secure.
The next update is the creation of the Car Contests link. It is found under the Contests tab on the right side of the site. Here you will find FREE CARS! "Get the eff out of here?!?" No it's true. I constructed the ability for raffles, charities and/or whomever to post their free car contests. Check it out, I already uploaded a few.
Other updates include the addition of thumbnails to the search results pages, the rotation of the Classic Car of the Week, reorganized the Journals page, alphabetized the Service Icons and a bunch of other little things.

Remember to read the stories! Click each car and read the caption, then vote! Also, only one vote per IP address (per computer) is counted. So if you want to win, get everybody you know to vote for your car...actually I guess they should vote for their favorites. So, get everybody thatlikes your car to vote for you.
