Reminder, 2009 Best Ride Contest Hello all. I want to remind everyone that there is only 1 more week to submit your ride for the 2009 Best Ride Contest. As of today, we have 16 members who submitted their rides. We need at least 20 to make it a legit competition, so after we all sober up from the eggnog, submit your rides!  Remember, the story that accompanies the ride usually makes the difference for the winner. So, times a ticking! 2010 and Beyond Big news for 2010! We are updating the site with a new premium advertisement for the classified sections of the site. Members will still be able to post for sale a one picture ad of their cars/parts for free, but if you want to upload more pictures (20 more!) and have your ad on the first page of Google, then you can subscribe to the premium ad for only $5 per month! Sometimes I amaze myself. In addition, we will improve many process flows to make the site work a lot better. Finally, I hired a marketing director to build out the services section of the site. Our plans are to have a complete service directory for our members by the end of June 2010. Much more to come, so stay tuned. Me and Santa Being a new dad, naturally we had to take the little one to see Santa. We packed up the family truckster and brought her to the mall to sit on St. Nicks lap. She is only 6 months old, so she really didn’t know what to ask for, or even speak it for that matter. So, I whispered in her ear when she was about to sit on his lap…”12 bolt positraction…12 bolt positraction.” She looked at me with this blank stare. Well, it was worth a shot. As she was finishing with Santa, I asked if we could jump in there and take a family pic with the big guy. The head elf said it would be an additional $20. No way! So as we were leaving, I jumped in and told my wife to take a pic with my phone. Here is what she snapped. I want to wish all of you a very happy and safe holiday. I have always stated that holidays are to remind us what is really important in life and with the economy the way it is, we need it more than ever this year. Please enjoy the time off, look around and acknowledge what you truly care about...the cars in the garage! Just kidding. Let's bring 2010 in with high hopes, strong will and some screeching tires!
