The Politician and the Pop Princess Exhibit

April 29th, 2011
From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The powder blue 1974 Plymouth Satellite used by California Governor Edmund G. “Jerry” Brown during his first two terms (1975-1983) as a politician, has long been a star attraction at the Museum and now has been joined by a long-lost flame! The Politician and the Pop Princess features the famous Plymouth and a 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa which was originally owned by Brown’s one-time girlfriend, rock legend Linda Ronstadt. These vehicles with additional artifacts pay an affectionate tribute to Governor Brown and Ms. Ronstadt and will take Museum visitors back to the 1970s. The cars and artifacts tell a uniquely “California” story of romance, the media, and the intersection of politics and fame. The California Automobile Museum is located at 2200 Front Street, Sacramento, CA 95818. The public can contact the museum by telephone is 916-442-6802 or visit the website at www.calautomuseum.org. The museum is open daily from 10:00am-6:00pm and on third Thursdays of every month until 9:00pm.
