| OCPHS’s 2013 “Small Talk” Lecture Series Presents: Pontiac’s Oakland Motor Car Company Presented by Steven Stanford Sunday, September 15th @ 2 pm Learn about the origins of the Oakland, its roots in the buggy industry, and the early days of the company from automotive historian Steven Stanford. Mr. Stanford is retired from Oakland County where part of his responsibilities were the acquisition and care of the County's 1924 Oakland automobile which is displayed in the lobby of the 1200 N. Telegraph Courthouse. Mr. Stanford is a member of the Society of Automotive Historians, a member of the Motor Cities National Heritage Area, and serves on the board of the Henry Ford Heritage Association. ***Car Club’s and individuals are welcome to display their Cars before the Small Talk.
