Smok'n Oldies |
| The Smok'n Oldies was founded to promote the rescue (from back yards & junk yards)older American made vehicles. We promote the restoration, modification, or driving these vehicles. We hold a business meeting the third Thursday of each month at the Grand Motor Inn in Deming, New Mexico. We have a club Cruise In each month hosted by one of our members. The Cruise can be as complicated as the host wants to make it or as simple as they want. We've done such things as a "Progressive Dinner", Chilie cook off at the park, picnics, cruised to various museums in the area (Las Cruces, El Paso, Deming, Columbus, etc). We encourage our members to support their favorite community service organizations/charities but do not, as a club, focus on these activities. We are primarily a club where the "guys" can get together talk cars, and the ladies/wives can socialize. |

Ownership of a vehicle is not mandatory. The only restriction on non vehicle owning member is that he/she is not allowed to vote on matters directly realated to driving our vehcles (i.e. how far to drive on a Cruise) |
