stalling issues

1978 Oldsmobile CUTLASS BROUGHAM
October 27th, 2018 12:15:53 am, posted by Becky petrinovich

I was having stalling issue when I would slow down or accelerate. When I got home I removed the lid from the air filter bucket and noticed oil and grime inside. I cleaned out, and also noticed that one of the tube leading into the bucket was loose and dirt with oil. I cleaned off and replaces the tube.( not sure what this tube is call or what it goes to)it was towards the back. I also sprayed carbon cleaner inside the carburetor put everything back together and the stalling seems to have stopped. What was the problem and could it start up again? thanks!
