radiator removal and replacement 1950 Chevrolet STYLELINE DELUXE

I need to replace the radiator in my 1950 Chevy Styleline Delux 6 cyl 235 engine Powerglide. I have removed all bolts and pitcock, disconnected the upper hose and loosened both straps on the lower hose. However I cannot get the lower hose off nor can I pull the radiator out because of the lower hose. Question 1: How does one remove the lower hose Question 2: How does one install the lower hose on the new radiator before installing it? Thanks for any help you can give
