I'm looking to buy a car (1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Retractable Hardtop) The problem is previous owner told me this"He bought the car
3 yrs ago It was running fine and He didn't use it for a long time(keeping it in the garage) now The car is not running and His opinion was The carburetor need adjustment or rebuilt and the other problem is The small motor which unfold the front 1ft of the hard top needs to be replaced."This was exactly that the owner of the car told me" I'd like to know, Is it possible to be the case just the
carburetor to make the car not running and If I've decided to inspect the car before I buy it, What kind of procedures that I have to do to make sure that He wasn't lied to me about carburetor and something to do with something else (major problem like engine overheated,Transmission problem ETC) For the Motor How difficult it is to find whoever can fix it and How much roughly is it gonna cost me? Thank you for your time and help solve this puzzles.
