Ok 64 should have a main ground cable with s separate wire that grounds on the fender or radiator support. There should also be a ground strap from one of the bell housing bolts to the firewall. If you have both of these grounds you may want to make sure the steering column is grounded through the mounting points. Remember 64 had no modern electronics. You may want to run a ground wire from the battery to a point on the dash to connect all you electronics grounds to. Hope this helps.
