RE: Restoring a International KB-1 |
May 9th, 2015 11:57:45 am, posted by Tim Murphy |
Hi Ron,
I'm working on a '54 Int'l. R-112, and have found much the same situation: parts, and even others involved in I.H. restoration, seem to be rare as hen's teeth. But I have managed to find a few----
ihpartsamerica.com
nationalihcollectors.com
OldIHC.org
binderplanet.com
patwalshrestorations.com (he is VERY helpful & friendly)
I have a few more I can send if you want them, but I'd say mostly that it's just a matter of following "links" that different websites have that will lead you to suppliers. Also, if you google "auto salvage yards" in the West (Ariz., New Mexico, Texas, Montana, the Dakota's, etc.), and phone them, you might be surprised how many old cars they still have, because their air is so dry, and most of them don't use salt on the highways in the winter, so the cars don't really "rust out" like here (Mich.) in the East.
Hope this helps a little.
