Questions and Answers - Classic Car Community

1972 Chevrolet IMPALA brakes

July 31st, 2012 06:16:34 pm, posted by Ragen Rat

Hello
The master cylinder could be for a different vehicle all together or could be defective, I am a little surprised your trusted mechanic did not test drive your car and notice this problem himself. When lives are at stake no short cuts can be taken, my recommendation is to
take it back right away and have it replaced again. It is not uncommon to have brand new defective parts as well as defective rebuilt parts. Also ask about your warrenty and keep your paper work for future use.
Happy and safe motoring.
