My buddy has a truck that was doing the same thing. Here is the funny part, he brought it to a popular mechanic shop and they said the fuel injectors were shot. We didn't buy it so we were talking at work and the engine needs three things, spark, gas, and air (compression). So, if your car is hesitating as times, then it is probably the spark. What I mean is the gas is there because it runs good otherwise and the compression is there otherwise it would happen all the time. So, check the wiring harness at the fuel injectors, there is probably a short somewhere. That is exactly what was wrong with my buddy's truck. A $50 fix.
