alter-starter wiring1969 Pontiac GRAND PRIX SJ |
May 8th, 2009 12:02:31 pm, posted by james coon |
My SJ is a 428 cubic inch. I did a ground up restoration, removed the engine and trans, sent the car to the paint & body shop, put things back together. This process took over 3 years. I am having problems with the alternator not charging. New alternator, regulater, and battery. My 1969 factory manuel is not showing me where the fuseable links (2) are going. At least I'm not able to figure it out. Is there someone out there who could draw me a diagram showing the wiring from the alternater, starter and battery plain and simple. I understand the battery neg. to the frame, positive to the starter. Red wire from the alternator to the post on the starter with the red cable from the battery. Beyond that, I'm lost. Please, need some expert help...Thanks...James
