I have a 55 Mercury Custom with a 292 an have had it 12 years. Driven it very little but it has always started slow as it it a 6volt positive ground system. I have put a 1000 CCA truck battery in it and it started. Always after driving the car and shutting it off it will not start hot. What the hell is the problem. I've been told to go to 000 cables which I am going to do but wanted your input. It has air, fuel, compression, spark so I don't get why it won't start. Help!
