Shifter

1967 Chevrolet CAMARO
August 27th, 2007 09:00:46 am, posted by Donald Pickard

Have a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro which started out life as a 6 cylinder car.  It now has a 350 v8 installed but the transmission continues to be a three speed manual.  The car came with a floor shift that mounts to the transmission crossmember and has a stabalizer bar which goes to it.  I suppose it would be possible to remove the transmission without unbolting the brace that holds the shifter if a person wanted to.  Anyway, the shifter is 40 years old and is in need of replacement.  I cannot find a three speed shifter that will replace it.  Any suggestions?
