Powerglide transmission and other parts1969 Chevrolet CAMARO |
July 7th, 2019 01:09:30 pm, posted by Art Molseed |
I recently sold my 1969 Camaro (base model) at the Mecum Auction in Portland and have some parts that I would like to donate to an organization or person that could use them. They include the original Powerglide transmission that I replaced with a 5-speed manual. I had the transmission rebuilt; it had less than 1,000 miles on it before I had it removed. It is compatible with a Chevy 327 or similar small block engine. I also have two BF Goodrich radial T/A tires (15-inch wheel) with less than 1,500 miles on them, and a new (in the box) air conditioner delete panel. There are also various parts that were removed when the engine was rebuilt and a serpentine belt system was added. Rather than listing them on Craigslist or E-bay, I was hoping to donate some of the parts (e.g. the Powerglide transmission) to a junior college or trade school automotive training program, or someone who could use them for a personal re-build. Do you have any suggestions on who I may contact? I have spoken with several transmission shops, and all felt that the Powerglide would be useful to someone, but did not need it for their inventory.
