PONTIAC MOTOR MOUNTS

1973 Pontiac GTO
September 24th, 2009 01:03:55 pm, posted by RODGER ALDRIDGE

IN 1973 AND 1974,   REAL PONTIAC V-8 ENGINES WERE STILL BEING INSTALLED INTO G.M. "A" BODY (Le MANZE, T-37, TEMPEST, GTO) VEHICLES.  IN 1975 PONTIAC SWITCHED THE GTO (ETC.) TO AN "X" BODY FRAME.  ALSO, DURING THIS TIME,  PONTIAC HAD GONE TO A  DUEL BOLT PATERN (2 OR 3 BOLTS PER SIDE) FOR THE V-8 ENGINE MOUNTS.
MY QUESTION IS, WHAT WAS THE MOST COMMON TYPE OF ENGINE MOUNT USED ON THE 1973 - 1974 "A" BODY VEHICLES ? ? ?  WAS IT A  2 OR 3 BOLT MOUNT ? ? ?
