1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 210 - 2 Door Post
Good Solid Texas Car!!!!! 55 chevy belair post..... Hot Rod Hotrod Street Rod This is a 1955 2 door Bel Air post. It is NOT stock. I have had this car for several years and have put a lot into it. It still needs some more work to be perfect but it is a daily driver. The car has had the firewall moved back 2\" to accommodate the 500 CID Cadillac engine. It has small chamber heads and high performance rockers. The tranny was built by a guy in OKC that builds trannies for quarter-milers. Lots of horse power! Lots of torque! Lots of fun! The battery has been moved to the trunk. I have added power brakes. Disk on the front. I have replaced the standard steering with rack and pinion. It has a larger fuel tank that has been put in. I believe it holds around 35 gallons. Came out of an old Chevrolet station wagon. The car is solid for the most part. There are no areas of significant rust. No significant areas of bondo. I had it repainted a couple of years ago but the guy that did it did not do a great job. There are a few areas in the paint that are chipped and a few areas where the paint has bubbled up. These areas are not significant but i do want to mention them for clarity. It could stand a new paint job. It has a Dakota Digital Dash and Clock. It has a speed shifter. The seats have been recovered and I have started a restore on the interior but it is not complete. Still needs headliner and probably new carpet. I have a chrome set for the door panels and a headliner I will include with the car. I believe there are some more parts necessary for the headliner I do not have. I have added seat belts. Front and back. I have added a tilt steering wheel. The front end is not as tight as I would like it to be and I had planned to sub-frame it at some point. It drives fine and straight but I just wanted to mention the things I planned to work on. I have added an AC system to the car but have since had a problem with the AC Pump and the Blower Switch. Both of which need to be replaced before AC will function. This unit is only a couple of years old and may still be under warranty. It needs a windshield wiper motor. I will be more than happy to answer questions.
