1959 Ford F-100 All Wheel Drive
This the custom cab short bed with the big back window and it is now AWD ( all wheel drive ) this truck was designed to be a driver not sit in a garage . it is safe and dependable it can be repaired and scanned in any Ford dealer or quality repair shop with most over the counter parts ( no waiting for special parts to arrive ) It is a every day driver so it is not perfect but does show very well. It has a clear Kansas title in my name and the doner vehicle signed over to me . Right now there is 7000 miles on it but it will change daily as I am driving it every day. I has made shows as far away as 10 1/2 hours one way with no problems. The donor vehicle was a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer everything from the 97 was rebuilt or replaced new in this truck. The body was stripped and all repairs was made then painted with a complete DuPont Chroma Base system. The glass was purchased new and tinted then installed with new rubber seals. The bed floor is ply-wood ugly but useable, it is installed with screws around the edge so it can be easily be removed to allow access to the fuel tank and fuel pump and gauge sender have their own access door. there is 4 compartments in the bed 1 is for tools 1 is for the gas filler hose to run through 1 is for the battery and 1 is for stuff. not fancy but useable. The tail gate does show some dents but it is bondo free. The bumpers were smoothed and set closer to the body and hide the trailer hitch in the rear ( for smaller trailers ). All the Ron Francis wiring is run through the firewall to the rear of the seat where the fuse block the televork system and the computer are. There is also a Dakota Digital Commander 10K system installed which will pop the doors and roll the windows up and down. The floor has sound deadener and jute under the carpet . the seats are from a 2002 Ford Escort recovered and the consol is from a Mountaineer. The steering column is from the Mountaineer and retains the stock Ford cruise control in the wheel. It has the stock heater and a Vintage Air under dash air conditioner this was done to aid in repair if necessary no need to take 2 systems apart to fix. The dash gauges are from Auto Meter street rod series and it has a Sony Radio. The door panels were made and recovered the stock headliner was recovered. all the dash knobs were replaced with new 1957 items. Now on the engine it was total rebuilt and all injectors , senders ,sensors , wires hoses ect were replaced. it uses the stock air box and filter the alternator , air condenser compressor is stock units and the whole thing is cooled by a US Radiator and the air conditioner condenser is from Vintage Air. The transmission was purchased new over the Ford parts counter and the transfer case was purchased remanufactured from a company the does that for Ford ( I was told ) the drive shafts are stock items with new u-joints. The front and rear differentials were gone through with new bearings and seals but not the ring and pinions , and the front differential also got new axles and a new rack and pinion steering box, it has 4 wheel disc brakes all new. and has Long Trail tires and Crager wheels . The frame is the stock 1997 Mercury Mountaineer with all the up grades to the front end and it retains the stock mountaineer front end alignment specs. This truck comes with a load of extra parts the stock 1959 rolling frame another bed and some misc other parts that was removed during the build. Like I have stated it is not perfect but it will give you your 15 minutes of fame at 15 second thumbs ups and you will be safe and get back home You cannot build a truck like this for the money so do not miss out. any questions I will answer as well as I can please call or email me I listed my cell phone number to call or text but there is a house number to call also it is 913-828-0002 This is a price you cannot beat. I will consider a partial trade/ any motorcycle / pre 1948 street rods or project / or any interesting item you may have.
