In 1970, Chevrolet introduced the ultimate powerhouse for its midsize muscle car. It was also the year GM lisfted its displacement ban on all of its midsize cars. For the Chevelle, it meant 450 bhp from a stout LS-6 454 V8 for the Super Sport model. Today, it is regarded as one of the most fearsome muscle cars of all time.
