After the overachieving little SC/Rambler of 1969, AMC returned to the muscle car market with the Rebel Machine. It still sported loud graphics, but thanks to a 390-cubic inch, 340-bhp V8, it was more than capable of outshining the competition and backing up its flashy appearance.
