chevelle 1970 Chevrolet CHEVELLE

I bought a 1970 chevelle 454 ss. The car is mostly original but the engine code tells me it is a truck engine. Should I try and replace the engine with one that is of the proper year or drop a crate engine in it. Which one would create the most value for resale.
