Too Many Spacers?

August 26th, 2011 08:37:09 am, posted by Michael Hoff

Is this guy experianced with carbs? There are 2 bore patterns and 2 bolt patterns used on nearly every 4 bbl. Specta makes adaptors to adapt all these, the bores won't line up perfectly the adapter bores are larger to accomodate bigger carbs but that doesn't matter for non race applacation, aslong as there isnt any vacuume leaks, and the carb opens freely. I perfer using the edebbrock #1406 carb for street applacations as it stays tuned better and is a simpler carb and has both bolt patterns.
