Karmann is the coachbuiilder who actually does the conversion from the sedan to a convertible. They did build the Karmann Ghia bodies as well.
I can't find any direct link to a "hydrodynamic" Karmann VW... the is a Von Karmann, appearently a scientist, who did some work with hydrodynamic theory or something....
