I have original lateral shocks on 1949 Panel Chevy 1/2 ton.......cost is about the same to replace them with modern vertical upgrade kits and shocks. Everything else is original.
2. Go with replacement leaf springs after 63 years or seek out modern upgrade? As is it is an original panel not a street panel in any way. Drives/rides like a tank on a roler coaster as is. Looking for your experience in this critical stage of repar.
