Power brake booster rod adjustment

1970 Chevrolet NOVA
December 3rd, 2012 01:33:32 pm, posted by Matt Waller

I just installed a power brake booster on my nova after converting from 4 wheel drum brakes to 4 wheel disk. The only problem I have encountered is the Rod that goes through the firewall and threads onto the bracket on the brake pedal is a very tight fit under the dash due to metal support framing running along side of the rod. and I can not get it screwed into the bracket enough to engage the master cylinder. I have tried tightening it with a long nose locking wrench with no success. any ideas, tricks, or specialty tools out there to help me tighten this rod (about 1") Im getting frustrated!
