I have 1965 ford mustang with 289. Was not getting the usual power from it when stepping down on accelerator. Pulled air breather off and ran engine to full throttle. Secondary barels did not open. So I pulled vacume arm from vacume diaphragm and accelerated engine and watched arm move forward. Turned off engine open throttle and could move secondary throttle plates freely. Did same procedure with engine running with throttle open (secondary throttle stop open and not in the way) could not manually open secondary throttle plates. Turned off engine with throttle in same position and could easily move secondary plates freely. Would appreciate any input on this. Feels like intake manafold vacume holding flappers shut.
