How do I remove the horn ring on a 1958 Lincoln Capri?1958 Lincoln CAPRI |

I tried prying it off with a screwdriver but not too hard since I don't want to kink it (looks like it's made of aluminum) and I tried twisting it off counterclockwise. There are no screws on the back of the steering wheel spokes holding it on.
