DASH VIN NUMBER

1970 Chevrolet CHEVELLE SS396
January 9th, 2010 11:24:32 am, posted by TOM VIGNOLA

Back in 2008, after losing my original vin # tag, I had asked about getting a new vin for my Chevelle...well after going crazy looking thru old parts and nuts and bolts, my brother decided to remove the entire dash  and hope for the best...and there stuck between the wires and the magnet of the front speaker was the vin tag...thank GOD..now my question is...are the correct  rivets availible anywhere?? They are tiny... Maybe I'm just paranoid but I don't want anyone to think I tampered with the Vin tag...my chevelle has been registered for about six years now and I am not looking to sell and really only use it for shows and local cruises but I want everything to look correct...I have another 70 SS for comparison and rivets from the local hardware are too large...thank you
