1959 Thunderbird PROJECT CAR value1959 Ford THUNDERBIRD |
September 24th, 2014 09:14:58 am, posted by Tammy Arkley |
I have a 1959 Ford Thunderbird, the frame is in great shape, there is very minor surface rust, has been sitting out in the desert sun for years, the motor, tranny, etc., are all out of it. ALL original parts are available, some new parts purchased in anticipation of restoring. The interior is in bad shape; however, the seat frames are in good shape (need to be reupholstered). My husband died last year and I need to sell the car. It is most definitely a project car that will take a lot of work and TLC to get it back in shape. However, all body parts are in great shape (no major damage, one small on the edge of the hood where it was dented). The engine block has been bored and ready to be put back together. The heads need to be reworked (?) is that the correct terminology? This car was purchased new by my father-in-law and has a little over 100,000 miles on the odometer. Does anyone have any idea how I can find out a good value for the car? I don't have a lot of money to spend to get a valuation on it. Any suggestions and/or ideas would be very much appreciated.
