1970 DODGE CHALLENGER T/A
1970 DODGE CHALLENGER T/A, The 70 T/A Challenger is widely regarded as one of the best handling muscle cars of its day. The car was developed in 1970 and produced in limited quantities to allow Dodge to compete in the Trans Am series. The 340-6 pack is unique to this car and its sister the 70 AAR Cuda. Block and heads are unique to allow full race modifications in the Trans Am series in 1970. The T/A Challenger was designed and built to compete with the Ford Mustang and the Chevy Camaro in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Trans-Am racing series. Approx 2399 70 T/A\'s were built, of which this is one of only 989 4-Speed cars. 1970 T/A Challenger 340 3x2bbl engine with factory Edelbrock aluminum intake, 4-speed, with side-exit exhaust, fiberglass hood, hood pins, black out hood, special front and rear stabilizer bar, heavy-duty springs; power front disc brakes, remote racing mirror, a racing spoiler and T/A stripping, AM radio, center console, 15 x 7 rallye road wheels, a optional 3.91 rear axle. This car has the optional rally dash, and fast ratio steering. I have a build sheet for this car and it wears its original fender tags, including the second tag labeled \"TRANS AM\". This T/A challenger is finished in its original colors FK5 Dark Burnt Orange Metallic and a Burnt Orange with cloth interior.
