1955 Chevrolet Belair Hardtop /Superstock
This car has a history as the Rockport Rocket with Dave Ribeiro in D1, Brad Brandt in D5 and is now in D7. This car has a rich history, and has been updated throughout the years and is a nice consistent, easy maintenance car. The last time I raced it was in Chandler AZ in good air and it went .78 under (the old index) This car could pretty easily be returned to the street but I\'d hate to see that. If sold I’ll be “cleaning house” on the buyer including everything race and 55 Chevrolet I have accumulated over the years, literally everything goes with the car. I would say the car could be considered race ready since placed on the jack stands. The car is a leaf spring, ladder bar car with a 9” ford rear and 6.50 gear with Mark Williams axles. Car has front disk brakes with drums on rear. ATI Transmission and 8” converter (and spare) with brake and Hurst shifter. All Auto meter gauges, tack with shift light, Mandella “delay” transmission button included. MDS ignition and MSD 2 step, Painless control panel, updated electrical throughout car. Engine components include: Edelbrock Victor Jr. Intake, Jesel Valve train, K Motion, ATI Damper, Earls, Lunati Cam 2 - Spare race short blocks (1 Bob Dennis older technology, Jesel belt drive and 1 Brandt built) 5- 548 casting number builder blocks, 1957 year in various conditions. 1- Spare power glide transmission, 1.98 low gear and converter 1- Spare factory original rebuilt/restored WCFB, carburetor ready to be race modified. 5- Sets of original casting #520 builder heads 2- Sets of original casting #523 builder heads 1- Set of never used Jack Davis step fender well headers (need to be coated). 2- Spare intakes and more...........glass, original carb for parts, misc small body and interior parts, front wheel and tire, collector pieces, carb spacers radiator, fuel jugs, fender covers, 2 dampers, 3 goddie boxes/bins of misc stuff, new hood hinges and springs (not installed)....bring your truck...... All carburetor tune up parts, jets, rods, chips, etc. Altronics hand held weather station, run data books, air gauge and even some old shoe polish (lol) and car cover are included. I will be photo cataloging many of the items to be included for email to interested parties. I have a clean AZ title in my name ready to go. The price is 40K......contact Brad at (480)-322-3151 or email belair7548@cox.net...phone or email contact is best.
