1965 Chevelle 2 door station wagon - rare car
hugger orange 1965 Chevelle 2 door wagon. Tucson, Arizona car, rust free and reliable. I drove the car on part of the 2005 Power Tour. The interior has buckets and console from a 68-72 Chevelle. The driver seat is power but the seat mechanism needs repaired. (I have 1965 bucket seats to swap with the buckets that are in the car if that is what you prefer) Stock gauge instrument panel with an aftermarket tach where the stock tach would have been, wood steering wheel. The car is a factory 283 V8. Only 653 V8 2 door wagons were built in 1965! Working factory A/C. Now has a big block Chevy and TH700R4 overdrive trans with TV cable kit from Bow Tie Overdrives. Console converted to shift the overdrive with a kit from Shiftworks, 12 bolt rear with 4:11 posi, power disk brakes, power steering with a new variable ratio box, power windows, power locks, power rear window. Three of the floor pans replaced. Under the hood looks completely stock as if the car rolled out of the factory with this engine. Stock rocker arm covers, cast iron intake manifold, vacuum secondary Holley carb hidden under a stock air cleaner, remote power steering fluid reservoir, Harrison four core radiator, fan shroud, power brake booster, and master cylinder, alternator and A/C brackets. All the parts look to be stock 1965 Impala big block parts. The car has headers and Flowmaster exhaust, probably a 50 series muffler since the car is quiet compared to other cars with Flowmasters. The car also has a trailer hitch if you want to do some light towing with it. I bought this car because it has no rust and a very solid driveline.
