Sirens of Chrome |

Sirens of Chrome takes visitors on a visual joyride through auto show history and features a treasure trove of rare images of turn-of-the-century goddesses, 1950s sex symbols and today’s highly trained product specialists. Traveling photography exhibit from National Automotive History Collection and the Detroit Public Library based on the book Sirens of Chrome by Margery Krevsky. The exhibit showcases posters and photographs of human hood ornaments along with the fast cars they promoted. This exhibit has been on display at the Detroit Public Library, the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House, the Henry Ford Museum, and following its West Coast Premier here at CAM, it will travel to the Studebaker Museum in Indiana.
The California Automobile Museum is located at 2200 Front Street, Sacramento and is open daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm and every third Thursday of the month until 9:00pm. Admission is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for Vintage (65*), $4.00 for children and under age four is free. We offer $1.00 off for AAA Members.
