34th Annual AutoFest 2009 Car Show Swap Meet |
June 20th, 2009
From 9:00 AM to 6:00 AM |
Scheduled events include a cruise, car show, vendors, car corral, and swap meet. Car show is open to those who wish to exhibit their foreign or domestic, antique, classic, custom, rod, motorcycles, tractors, or trucks. Dash plaques and goody bags are given to registrants. Cars must be in place by 11am on June 20th.
"We expect over 200 vehicles this year, the largest show in our history. The featured class is Volkswagen, celebrating 60 years of the VW Beetle," said Larry Boyce, event co-chair. Pre-registration for show vehicles ends June 5th, but registration will be ongoing through Saturday morning, June 20th.
Trophies and awards will be presented at 3pm on Sunday, including Best of Class trophies (GM, Ford, Mopar, foreign), Best of Show by People's Choice, and awards for 21 vehicle classes. Door prizes will be awarded each hour, and food/drinks will be available from local vendors. A great way to spend Father's Day!!
According to Dustin H. Duncan, event co-chair, "Proceeds this year will benefit not-for-profits Catholic Outreach and CASA of Mesa County. We enjoy putting on this show each year, and as a 501(c)(3) organization, feel it is equally important to give back to the community."
