| This car is a 1972 240Z, I acquired this car from a mutual friend that had decided to part it out and have it destroyed. I purchased the car for $250.00, and then began the reconstruction from someone who had no idea of makes a good solid street machine. This is a "JDM", japanese muscle car that packs a mean punch. Nicknamed Cherry Bomb, she maintains a 1.29 power/weight ratio, weighing in at 2400 lbs, the straight six with triple webers makes 310 HP, with a 5 speed and 3.90 LSD rear end, this is one drifting monster. Coil over suspension, 5 way tokico struts, front and rear strut bars, carbon kevlar disc brakes, and the most beautiful sounding dual exhaust, you would swear there was a Ferrari coming down the road. Since this is Classic Car community, I thought in the spirit of street machines that a true vintage classic should be added to the contest. As we say to the guys with the new sports cars, don't forget who your daddy is! The Z was to sports cars what the GTO is to muscle cars. Please vote for the Cherry Bomb. |
