| It's not the movie car but my clone of the car from the movie "American Graffiti" is credited with launching the car restoration industry back in 1973 to what it is today. Back then I had a straight axle '55 Chevy and my pal had a '32 chevy with a Ford grill shell 'cause we couldn't a good Chevy grill! And believe it or not my Chevy was painted a dark blue and his deuce was painted yellow. The movie came out and we were IT at the burger hang-outs! I've owned hot rods since 15 and being 40 years older this car reminds me of the way it was. We'll see ya at the cruise-ins every weekend because that's where me, my wife and my piss-yellow deuce coupe will be! |
